I'm in another film festival, this time Hellbinders is opening at Cannes!

Happy New Year!  I've just heard that Manure is opening non-competition at Sundance!

December 15th, 2008

We wrapped Belvis today.  I got a chance to meet Mark Metcalf, an actor in our film.  What a class act!  I got to watch a few of his takes.  He did a few, but he only needed one.  He was letter perfect every time.

December 10th, 2008

I GOT TO PLAY A 3/4 STAND UP BASS!!!!  It was so great.  I learned it in about an hour and even impressed our music director.  And I look pretty smart in a set of Camos.  There was some amazing thing with the moon tonight...it was bigger and brighter than it will be in years.  And we were WAY out in the middle of nowhere to see it.

December 8th, 2008

We just started filming The Adventures of Belvis Bash, a clever film starring (besides me) Corey Feldman, Frank Stallone, Daniel Baldwin, and several others.  I'm the bass player in the band (and it's a movie about the band, so that's good) and tonight we were on the same film set they did the Middle East exteriors for Ironman on!  It was also VERY cold.  I recorded vocal tracks (I sing all the male back-ups) that I got to hear tonight as we filmed.  I rock.

November 6th, 2008

Tonight was a first.  I got to walk a red carpet in premier of a short film I did a while back!  Pictures are posted on the Gallery page.

July 14th, 2008

So excited!  There's a new trailer for an indie film I did last year called HELLBINDERS!  They have a website and you should check out the photo gallery and watch the trailer.  I'm the guy with no eyes.  And the scary voice.  You can see it all here.

July 14th, post-script:  I use a lot of exclamation points, don't I...

June 24th, 2008

Wrapped filming yesterday!  I'm headed to Chicago to see some friends for a reunion of sorts and eat some barbequed things at Taste of Chicago!  I've added a new pic from Manure on the right, I'm the guy walking toward the trailer on the left.

June 16th, 2008

A few more things on MANURE.  Some new pictures have been added (thanks, Jeff Gum) to the MOVIE STILLS page and ET has done a spot on it. You can see that here.

Started filming MANURE today!!   The set is GORGEOUS!   It's being shot in HD and the cyclorama for the exterior shots is breathtaking.  There was so much fog and dirt in the air, it's going to take a week to clear it out of my lungs.  I had a scene today with Jeff Gum and the very lovely Tea Leoni (pictures to follow).  It seemed like such a fun set...everyone was working hard to make a really complex vision come together.  Check back at the MOVIE STILLS section often as more pictures come in.

Shot new headshots today with the very talented David Sobel.  Right before the shoot, my agent called to let me know I booked the Billy Bob Thornton picture MANURE!  Pictures from both (I'm sure) to follow.

March 13th, 2008

The Promotional Spot for the NCAA basketball tournament should be out and airing today.  I was both the stunt man and the stunt coordinator on set as I was just falling out of a chair.  Still, I got to work with Jim Nantz and had a really great time!  Look for it all over CBS and the internet!

January 22nd, 2008

Got some good news today!  Booked a national promo spot that I'll be happy to talk about once I film it and they give me air dates.

Also, one of my favorite experiences in theatre is coming back to haunt me.  Spoon River Anthology is having a reunion in Chicago.  I hope I still have a winter coat.

January 13th, 2008

Happy New Year!!!  I just shot a test exercise video with the Fabulous ZEN GRAY from Bravo's series WORKOUT!  I was awesome, and really, one of the few times you'll see me in shorts.  You'd think I'd be exhausted, but mostly I was there to be pretty.  The girls in the video did the real work.  I was opposite the BEAUTIFUL Nayo Wallace, soon to be vamping up the silver screen near you as Minx, the villain's girlfriend in SPEED RACER!!!  It looks like I'm giving her advice, but she could kick my ass 3 ways from Sunday.

August 27th, 2007

I just shot a big series of commercials for After Dark Films!  I got to work with the sexy (and naked) Black Betty (Miss Horrorfest 2007) and I spent 6 hours in makeup under the capable hands of Rochelle Kneisley (GO RO!).  I’ll be all over the east coast and in movie theatres, and I’m now a very famous poster.  You can see some of it here.

WE DID IT!!    We filmed an entire feature-length movie in real time (stopping only for film changes).  Eat your heart out, Alfred Hitchcock.  A week and a half of rehearsals and 5 solid days of filming, we have our movie.  The cast was spectacular and professional, the crew was patient and skillful and the young talent in this movie is impressive.  I only hope I did my character justice.  It isn’t every day someone asks Steve Fite to play a coke-head.

July 10th, 2007

Thank you to a wonderful crew and cast on Hellbinders.  We have quite a film on our hands.  Everyone was so nice to me, and I came in at the end of filming for my two scenes, and everyone was in such great moods, it really was great to see.  Esteban:  Thank you for being so helpful while I had a lot of physically unpleasant obstacles to deal with.  Jeff, thanks for checking up on me.  And Hiro:  Congratulations on your new addition.  Take care of the family.  I can’t wait to see this film!!!

July 8th, 2007

I’m rehearsing and filming and rehearsing and filming.  We could use a hundred rehearsals on The Last Hurrah and I still think I’d learn something new every time.  Today I spent my time finding things to do while I’m in the background NOT on camera.  I had to draw a little map and follow it.  We can’t miss a second or we ruin the film and waste the day once we start filming, so no pressure.  We have to be in the exact right place at the exact right time, or we can blow 45 minutes of film.  And we can’t re-shoot that scene that day.

July 7th, 2007

I got to work with RAY PARK yesterday!  You can touch me now.  I’m awesome.  Ray was one of the most giving actors I’ve worked with.  Thanks today to Ashley (you’re beautiful), James (the sclera contacts rocked!), and Ray.  You all made a very uncomfortable day easy to deal with.  And now, off to Last Hurrah rehearsal…

May 30th, 2007

Sorry this is late, but I finished my show An Evening with James Stewart in fine fashion.  We were sitting them in the aisles and for the third straight performance, I wound up having 2 curtain calls.  I didn’t have to work hard to cry because I was so touched by the community response and the overwhelming show of support.  Thank you to the Beverly Hills Playhouse for the venue and I’d say I was extending the run, but I was just cast to play the Devil in Hellbinders.  The script is fantastic. I can’t wait!

April 9th, 2007

Happy Birthday to me!  I just finished filming a Corbin Bernsen-helmed pic called Donna On Demand.  It’s gonna be so awesome.  I made some very good friends along the way and can’t wait to go to the opening.
